Next Generation Leaders –

Generational transition within family businesses

Family businesses, in particular, are shaped by the leadership style and personality of those in charge. This is often a key factor in their success. And with the transition to the next generation, a different personality also shapes the company’s future development. For employees and customers, this is just as much of a change as it is for the old and new leaders. How do stakeholders view the father, and how do they perceive the daughter or son? What defines their personalities and authenticity, and what are the differences?
But it is not only the relationship between the company and the new leadership that must evolve. A new dynamic must also be established between the senior and junior generations if the transition is to be successful. That is why our generational transition coaching programs often involve both generations.
