Next Generation Leaders –

Generational Change within Family Businesses

Family businesses are often shaped by the leadership style and personality of those responsible. This is often a key part of their success. With the transition to the next generation, a different character also influences the future development of the company. For employees and customers, this is as much a change as it is for the old and new leaders. What do stakeholders see in the father, and how do they perceive the daughter or son? What characterizes their personalities and authenticity, and what are the differences?
But not only the relationship between the company and the new leadership needs to develop. A changed relationship level must also be established between senior and junior if the transition is to be successful. That is why our coaching for generational change often involves both generations.
